Looking to rent a venue?

Look no further! Unique Dance Academy is open to renting out our spaces on Fridays after 6:00pm and on Saturdays. Our studio is available for renting out dance practice spaces, events, and for social gatherings.

Rehearsal space rentals: Starts at $35/hour

Event Space Rentals: Starts at $50/hour

Adult Musical Theatre
Ever wanted to get back into musical theater? Now's your chance! With a combination of dance, acting, and performance practice you'll be a star on the stage! We accept all types of students, even if you've never performed musical theater. Thursdays 6:15-7:00pm, walk-ins allowed: $15.00 per class.

Adult Hip-Hop
Adult hip-hop coming to town! Take a funky class and learn some hip-hop moves. We accept all students from all backgrounds, no matter if you're a beginner or not. We will go over techniques, flow, and how to groove with the music. Thursdays 7:00-7:45pm, walk-ins allowed $17.00.

Adult K-Pop
We will be going over the dance routines to a variety of k-pop songs. Many of which come from popular artists/groups. Our selection includes tracks from BTS, Twice, Astro, Mamamoo, BlackPink, TXT, Stray Kids, and more. Class will include a brief stretch/warm-up, learning the moves to the routine, practicing the routine at a faster pace, then a cool down. This class also has opportunities for performances. ***Class will be continued throughout the whole year. We accept new students anytime!***

Our Staff

MYRA GOODING

Director

Myra has been dancing since the age of three, studying ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe. She trained with The Ballet Academy, Central Maryland Youth Ballet, Maryland Youth Ballet, and Washington Ballet.

LENA MARIE

Assistant Director /
DXL Company Lead

An experienced teacher and choreographer, Lena is now a senior dance instructor at Unique Dance Academy where she teaches hip-hop, ballet, tap, and K-pop. She is also the DXL Company Lead for the academy’s K-Pop Dance Group, organizing dance competitions, helping create and expand a network in the Greenville K-pop scene, and spearheading other events for the DXL Company. 

HANNAH NORTON

Administrative Assistant

Hannah is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at the University of South Carolina, majoring in HR Management with a concentration in Business Analytics, and minoring in Psychology. She fulfills many administrative responsibilities at the academy.

JULLIAN BARNETTE

Adult Musical Theatre / Adult Hip-Hop Instructor

Jullian has experience in many styles of dance and arts including, but not limited to: Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Improv, and creative movement. In 2020, he practiced Modern and Ballet dance at the Fine Arts Center of Greenville. 

ALISSA GUTERMAN

Yoga Instructor

Alissa integrates insights gained from her early training and her advanced studies in India to create a nurturing environment where students of all backgrounds can explore the principles of hatha yoga, harness the power of pranayama, and experience the serenity of meditation. Passionate about fostering growth, balance, and self-discovery, Alissa is dedicated to guiding others on their paths to wellness and inner peace.

CAMILO HERRERA

Ballet Intructor

Camilo began dancing at ten years old at the Colombian Institute for Classical Ballet in Colombia, South America. He obtained a dance degree from Ballet-Centered, secondary and higher-level institutions where he was educated by well-known ballet masters Gloria Castro, Helena Cala, and Maria Helena llorente. 

Emy Fino

Salsa/Rumba Instructor

Emy focuses on technique, musicality, and creativity, and strives to adapt her classes to the individual needs and goals of each student. Her passion for dance is contagious, and she is committed to inspiring and motivating her students to reach their full potential and enjoy the learning process.
